In Canada the show began airing on Disney XD starting on December 1, 2015, following the launch of Disney XD. After the arrival of Agent Powers and Agent Trigger, Dipper attempts to reveal the paranormal information of Journal 3, much to Stan's chagrin. Journal 1 shares its appearance with the proceeding journals that were written after it, with the exception of the number 1 on it.

In " Scary-oke," Journal 2 briefly appears still resting in Stan's laboratory, alongside its counterparts. Following their defeat, he uses the blank pages of Journal 3 to document his own adventures with the town, learning to trust some of the town's residents. This book does add a bunch to the show - especially the part before dipper adds a whole new layer of things that just weren't explored in the show. The Journal contains several Easter eggs to the adult animated science fiction series Rick and Morty, created by Hirsch's good friend Justin Roiland, who voiced Blendin Blandin, such as featuring a silhouetted Plumbus, Zigerionon and a message near Ford's mugshot that is deciphered into saying " RICK WAS HERE. To be completely honest, I was really hyped to read Journal 3, but I never imagined I would be so moved by it.

And now that I have children that are old enough to appreciate this show, I get to experience it all through their eyes, and it’s like watching it for the first time all over again. One discernible symbol system is alchemy, which includes: composition, pulverize, digestion, fusion, and coagulation. It's hard to believe it's been six years since I began studying the strange and wondrous secrets of Gravity Falls, Oregon. Later moving on to Disney XD, the episode " A Tale of Two Stans" became the highest-rated telecast ever on Disney XD, with 1. On April 2, 2018, reruns of the show started airing on Disney Channel, although reruns of the show still air on Disney XD.This was a beautiful recap of the show plus a few stories here and there that were referenced to but never shown. The commercial brought back voice actors Kristen Schaal ( Mabel Pines) and Jason Ritter ( Dipper Pines) who try to sell their Journal 3 accessories.
