In some ways, she’s…regressed (not really the right word) the Wynonna character…she’s not the be all/end all, can do everything herself, has her life together, character of the original comic. Her Wynonna is unsure of just about everything, very much needs the other people around her, is rather broken….and in that..weakening, has made her so much more compelling. (which would mean nothing if they hadn’t gotten a great actress to pull it off). i thought this book could get more "tumblier" and here goes, in the middle of the book, a random list of things to do for your mental health. It's lovely but it doesn't really make sense ... Goodreads Librarians are volunteers who help ensure the accuracy of information about books and authors in the Goodreads' catalog. The Goodreads Librarians Group is the official group for requesting additions or updates to the catalog, including: First, it’s a real joy to come here and find your WE recap – complete with S3 renewal excitement! – after the debacle at SDCC around Jeremy Jordan/Supergirl. I belong to both fandoms, and although I understand it may be annoying to some Supergirl fans to keep seeing “Watch Wynonna Earp! Support Wynonna Earp!!!” posts everywhere, the fact is – WE *is* getting it right, both onscreen and off.

And then, something interesting happens. Nicole says that if Wynonna is an Earp, and the bartender is a revenant, the baby is…Waverly. Now, she says Waverly because her girlfriend happens to be calling at the moment, but I don’t think that can be ignored. So this book focuses more on positive feelings about friendship and self-growth and not destroying yourself to make good art. It’s interesting to see how she’s developing into a simplistic style and how that will work out for her. This collection of short stories retells various myths and legends featuring Aphrodite and her many lovers. The stories are beautifully written and offer a fresh perspective on familiar tales. So, Aphrodite is an important figure in ancient Greek mythology and has been revered and celebrated by cultures throughout history. By reading books about Aphrodite, you can explore the many different ways in which this goddess has been understood and represented, as well as her ongoing cultural influence. 10 Books About AphroditeAbout the Author: Trista Mateer is a writer/artist who traveled a lot in her life but has finally decided to reside in New Jersey by the sea. She started out as a blogger on Tumblr in 2013 and won the 2015 Goodreads Choice Award for poetry. She then transitioned into traditional publishing and in 2017 when she released her first collection Honeybee and also went on to create “The Unholy Wild” and Aphrodite Made Me Do It, which represents her art of prose and poetry. This novel is a fast-paced and thrilling adventure story that revolves around a mysterious artifact related to Aphrodite. Andrews’ writing is engaging and suspenseful. He weaves elements of mythology, archaeology, and mystery to create a compelling and entertaining read.

Since as i said the whole book is highlighted, i will put here the quotes that for some reason i highlighted with a different colour than the most:Aphrodite’s birth is described in Theogony: A work composed by the Greek poet Hesiod around 700 BC. According to Hesiod, Cronus, leader of the Titans, castrated his father, God Uranus’s primal sky, and threw his genitals into the sea. However, my most fav poem is The Raven by E. A. Poe. It has everything which I look for in poems. I even has its audio version which I listen to very often…

This is the main reasons why I love poetry. Poetry has more powerful vocab than our novels. And I love words. I’m literally trash for powerful/sounds-good words or rhyming lines too. It's extremely hard to give a book that talks about homosexuality, feminism and even SA/rape a low rating, but could you imagine how frustrating it is to expect these subjects to be talked about deeply or/and to have a heartbreaking imagery associated with it and to end up having just random thoughts thrown onto the paper, with a writing that neither is polished nor controlled ?

Friends! How excited are you?! I’m very excited! Our weird little show got renewed for the third season, as announced at San Diego Comic Con, and I couldn’t be happier. I genuinely didn’t believe they’d make the announcement either way until after the season aired, and it feels SO GOOD to be able to go into the rest of the season without the possibility of cancellation looming overhead. The amazing thing is, this show is fueled by fandom. Syfy is starting to realize the power of the people who show up on the internet to support shows, and is putting their money where their mouth is re: their new brand slogan: It’s a fan thing. Waverly sees Doc hanging around and assures him he doesn’t have to look so worried; Wynonna is strong. She tells him to take a walk, because standing outside the bedroom door isn’t helping anyone. Trista Mateer’s work has the kind of sumptuous quality that leaves you breathless. Aphrodite Made Me Do It is an incredible offering from a truly valuable poetic voice that channels love as the ancient and powerful emotion that it is. Combined with the poet’s own art, this book is a vibrant labyrinth, a treat for every reader. Mateer is magnificent as always." My interest in this collection spanned from my interest in mythology and Aphrodite herself, having dedicated a lot of my magical working towards her. So, naturally, once spotting this collection, I knew I had to find it and read it for myself. Needless to say, I was not disappointed.

Gut truths and gin-clear imagery, Trista Mateer reminds us of all those places left unexplored by language. ( Honeybee)Something has been bugging me though, why does Nicole drive the police cruiser even off duty? I doubt they have the resources to allow every deputy to have a car 24/7. Is it because they are a small department and can be called in at any time or is it because she’s “new” in town and never bought a personal car and needs a way to get around town? Venus was one of the first planets to be noticed by our ancestors since it can be observed with the naked eye at dawn and dusk. Because of this, the ancient Greeks had two names for Venus: Phosphorus in the morning and Hesperus in the evening. Talking about heartbreaking subjects isn't enough to make a book good. You have to actually work around and with them to create something meaningful. It might sound mean but it's true.
