Drip tray, drip tray plate, coffee pucks container, water tank, pannarello, cappuccinatore, CappinCup and milk carafe are removable and should be washed under tap water, with a bit of dish soap, but no abrasive substances nor solvents. When done, purging the wand I got into the routine of pressing the aroma/strength button to turn off the steam, followed by the hot water button to purge the wand, followed by the aroma/strength button again to turn off the hot water.

It has 5 different settings of grind that grant you the finest grind for a full-bodied espresso or a coarser grind for a lighter tasting coffee.I actually found the way that the steam works, to be quite handy even though it took a bit longer than I'm used to to get going. This is a feature shared with all the Gaggia bean to cup machines, it's really clever, and it's not something you'll find with all machines. These frothers can also be used for normal traditional frothing or steaming by removing the 'Cappuccinotore' device. The way they brew the coffee is very similar to a manual system but instead of you doing the grinding and tamping, the machine does it for you.

I should add that, with a little patience, the system works well — as it’s important to make adjustments in small increments.
