About this deal

There's something small in this part of the dry down that reminds me of an old school 80s/early 90s scent. The new Missoni parfum range reflects the fundamental values of the Missoni brand: craftsmanship, quality and authenticity expertly blended with innovation, inspiration and creativity. All the ingredients at once, mixed with the alcohol make for an almost high-end aerosol hair spray feeling.

Smells almost exactly like Chanel Allure Homme Sport, I will say Chanel has a more realistic citrus note but that's me being picky. Missoni Pour Homme strikes me as a darker fragrance, with a very distinct Badedas Noir shower gel fresh note; the woods and, particularly, the birch, play a very important role in the definition of this scent's character, enhancing the pungent note I get a minute or so after the initial spray. I was hoping this would be a beast mode summer performer, but that definitely wasn't the case on my skin. I Just had some on me for about 30 minutes and its a very sharp scent and leans very citrusy and isnt something like a JV artisan pure which has some creamyness to it which I expected due to some similarities in notes. I used to think it had poor longevity but realised I was using too many sprays and was getting nose fatigue. This stuff won't convince someone who has fallen out of love with the 2010's designer vibe to come back into the fold, but will impress the people who think they've already smelled it all in this sector. I can work all day, all sweaty and dirty, covered in sawdust and can still detect missoni on my clothing 8+ hours later. That said, there's no way on earth my young adult sons would ever wear this -- and the 18-year-old wears Missoni Wave on a regular basis. It came off as almost a bit too sweet at first spray but when it dried down I got these SUPER nice fresh and breezy whiffs as I was walking around in the 90 degree heat at work.

This is the perfect bridge scent for an older guy afraid to step away from his 80's or 90's fougères into something contemporary, and just a nice refinement on a popular ubiquitous style that makes it feel less-so because of it. Overall I do like this scent, but am disappointed because I believe that it just doesn't work for me overall.

I do in some ways get hints of Versace The Dreamer with the powdery lavender/clary sage mixture, minus the grape juice and potpourri vibe of The Dreamer. Opens up with a synthetic lemon smell for the first few minutes and then starts to dry down into a creamy citrus.
