About this deal

Naturally, it isn’t only Hale’s prowess on the microphone that makes such an impact for the band is on fire throughout this hard rock masterpiece. While HALESTORM stick to their formula of easy-to-digest, relatively short rock songs — most under four minutes — on "Back From The Dead: Deluxe Edition", the songwriting and performance quality is top notch, proving why they're one of modern rock's most popular bands. On the scorching track, Lzzy kicks things off by proclaiming, "Tonight I'm going heavy metal," before launching into a grunge-inspired chorus and singing, "If you don't care, then I don't care! NET uses the Facebook Comments plugin to let people comment on content on the site using their Facebook account.

That's apparent on "Terrible Things", a haunting ballad with Lzzy begging, "And there's a hole in my life / There's a blackness inside that's eating me alive / Leaving me to decide / Do I live with this pain?To report spam or any abusive, obscene, defamatory, racist, homophobic or threatening comments, or anything that may violate any applicable laws, use the "Report to Facebook" and "Mark as spam" links that appear next to the comments themselves. The treble is dialled back and is, subsequently, a little less pronounced, but Hale’s vocal is also a little distant in the surround mix. Back From The Dead also marks Halestorm’s greatest album artwork to date as it’s evocative of their musical style and portrays the emotive frustrations of the last few years into a piece of visual art that would look incredible on the larger vinyl canvas.

My Redemption slowly brings us back to rock elements more frequently associated with Halestorm and while I wouldn’t suggest that My Redemption is a standout song, it’s another album-filling tune that ensures Back From The Dead remains a memorable album experience. She was stuck with them due to lockdown despite them not being supportive, so she had conversations with Hale and other fans online. Many of the album's lyrics are informed by singer/guitarist Lzzy Hale's experiences of self-discovery as a musician disconnected from fans and bandmates during the pandemic.

Remember lockdown, that shapeless mass of wasted life in which time seemed to distort and bands had to swap real for virtual? Their response could have been a flailing mess, but it isn’t – it’s Halestorm in totality, an already great act building new rails to replace the ones we all ran off. While Back From The Dead demonstrates Halestorm's musical growth and experimentation, it’s an album that provides further validation to their unwavering dedication to the hard rock industry, their fans, and to the music itself, for Back From The Dead is full of electrifying performances. Watch the video for Sophie Lloyd’s “dream come true” collab with Lzzy Hale, Imposter Syndrome, taken from her upcoming debut album of the same name. Give or take a Floor Jansen, Lzzy Hale owns the best voice in modern rock – but even she’s never sounded quite this enflamed.
