About this deal

Our little one seems super comfortable in it. ★★★★ Wilson, Essex FAQ Is an infant car seat safer than a convertible car seat? You might feel more comfortable with your baby riding in the front where you can keep an eye on him, but fitting a rear-facing car seat to a front passenger seat with an airbag could cause life-threatening injuries if the airbag is activated. Never use a car seat unless you are completely certain of its history. 6. Going forward-facing too soon

Place the car seat on the vehicle seat and connect the Isofix connectors to the vehicle Isofix attachments (B-5). There will be an indicator visible on the connector The impressive Solar Group 1-2-3 isofix and recline car seat grows with your child. It is suitable from 9 months to 12 years of age, and a perfect fit for your 9kg to 36kg passengers. Once your little one has outgrown their Group 0 or Group 0+ rear-facing car seat, it’s time to move to the next stage. The Solar Group 1-2-3 covers all your car seat needs, from 9kg (approximately 15 months) until your child no longer needs to use a booster seat. In Group 1 mode, the Solar is used with the included 5-point safety harness to keep your child secure and correctly positioned in the seat. Group 3 car seats take the form of a raised booster cushion which provides additional support for your child from 22-36kg. This is between 6 and 11 years old, approximately. After this point, your child no longer needs car seat support.

What changes would you make to this product?

Rebecca: I would recommend this product to other mums as I think it is very good value for money for an Isofix car seat. It will cover many ages meaning you get a lot of use out of it. It is well padded, comfortable and extremely easy to fit and use. It is also easy to remove from the car if you wanted to swap cars.

Offeringlong term support for your child, Group 0+/1/2/3 car seatstake them from birth weight up to 36kg, or 11 years old, approximately. One common mistake, however, is to fix the extending foot at a diagonal angle, rather than at a 90-degree angle with the foot flat on the floor of the car. Group 0 car seats are rear-facing car seats for the baby until 9kg in weight. They are then turned forward-facing until the baby is around 18kg. Laura: I would choose this model as it's safety features are impressive, particularly the side impact system, which is very reassuring. I like the finish on the fabric of this seat and my daughter finds it comfortable. She has a lot of hair and it is unusual for a seat not to make her head hot! Pull the red button out and the Isofix connector will come out automatically (see image above and B-1 below)Group 1 car seats are ideally suited to toddlers, and take them from 9kg to 18kg, or 4 years old. If you’re buying your car seats incrementally, this is the next step after a Group 0 seat. The seat unit has 3 reclining positions for increased ergonomic head support and comfort on every journey. Using a car with Isofix fittings means that you'll get a solid installation every time. 4. Installing it in the wrong place Lucy: For once my child enjoyed the car seat! It was snug and cosy yet breathable and not too restricting. I really enjoyed the recline functions on this seat and felt that this saved it a little from the fact it doesn't have the option of rearward facing. Settling my little one in her car seat for a journey has become much easier due to the lovely, soft material and padding of the car seat. It so far has also been quite easy to wipe down! Group 0+ car seats are seats that span Group 0 and Group 1. This means they will take baby from their birth weight up to around 13kg. A rough age approximation is between 12 and 15 months. Often Group 0 and 0+ have the ability to attach to a pushchair chassis (usually with additional adaptors) – this is what is known as a travel system.

Michelle: The only thing that could be changed with this car seat is maybe the overall weight of it. It is pretty heavy to carry. However, this is the case with many Isofix car seats, so I do not see it as a massive disadvantage against other products out there. I would not want to have to swap it between cars often due to this. Great seat. Got this just over a week ago now. Looks great and fits well in my car. Feels plush and looks very comfortable. My daughter looks very happy in it. Was a great price too. ★★★★★ Louis82, Gosport Did baby seem comfortable in the car seat?Once the baby exceeds the limits of a car seat they will transition to a convertible all-in-one car seat. A convertible car seat can start off rear-facing and then convert to a forward-facing from when the child is around 40 pounds or more.

Ensure the headrest does not obstruct the child’s shoulders. Also, make sure the top of the child’s head does not go over the top of the headrest Michelle: I would recommend this car seat. My daughter is very comfortable in it due to the overall shape and fabric of the seat. The strap covers are lovely and soft without too much padding which made it easy to get her in and out of the seat. The fabric seems very breathable, and even on a very hot day, my daughter stayed cool. The recline on the car seat is a great idea, especially if you have a young baby as it can be adjusted very easily even when the baby is sitting in the seat. They can be useful not only as a money-saving buy, but also for childminders and grandparents who often need to transport children of different ages. A group 0 car seat is a seat designed to be suitable for a newborn baby. It’s the first car seat you will need. It takes baby from your child’s birth weight to around 10kg, approximately. Roughly this translates to somewhere between 6 and 9 months old. Once baby weighs this amount, they will need to upgrade to the next seat (Group 1) or have a seat that adapts from Group 0 to Group 1. Providing support for your child in their older years, these seats are suitable between 15 and 36kg, or approximately 4 to 11 years old.High quality product with unbeatable customer service: with fast, free delivery you could be using the Solar car seat within days! Okay, so it sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised how easy it is to forget to do up either the seatbelt holding your car seat in place, or the harness on the seat itself. These groups determine which car seats are compatible for a child at various ages. Some car seats are suitable for various ages, meaning they can be adapted as your child grows. These car seats list all corresponding groups, for example: Group 0/1/2.
